The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. This is a Central Sector Scheme of the
Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of MAHATMA GANDHI.

The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU
Objectives:
1. To understand the society in which they work
2. To identify society's needs and problems and motivate volunteers to solve them.
3. To develop responsibilities among themselves a sense of social and civic.
4. Finding solutions to individual and community problems
5. Developing leadership qualities
6. To Adopt and use democratic attitudes.
7. To Develop the capacity to deal with emergencies and natural calamities.
8. To develop national integration and social harmony.
To fulfil all these objectives, this scheme was started in the year 1998 in the college. Under this scheme, many social activities, lectures on various social issues, skill development programs, seven days special camps, financial
assistance to Old Age Homes every year, cleaning of public places, repair of water sources, road construction and sanitation, voter awareness, awareness about plastic usage, awareness about AIDS rallies are conducted, tree
plantation, blood donation camps are organized every year, health camps and various government activities, College cleaning campaign are conducted.

Program officers and volunteers participate in various activities and committees. Dr. Sunita Telsinge was selected for Pre-RD Selection Camp, Anand, Gujarat- 2022 and Contingent Leader of Maharashtra and Goa for RD Parade-2023
Delhi, . Mrs. Revathi Power was selected in Pre-RD Selection Camp-2023, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Nilesh Tardalkar was awarded as District Level Outstanding Volunteer 2019. Aniket Gaikwad, Aniket Yenpe and Om Bhat were
selected from Disaster Management Camp, Gadchiroli, Gondwana University. Volunteers participated in a one-day disaster management workshop, a seven-day special camp at Shivaji University.
