Feedback and ATRs

The Department of Geography conducted a comprehensive feedback analysis using Google Forms to assess the effectiveness of its curriculum and support services. The survey revealed that the majority of respondents (90%) felt the curriculum effectively developed life and employability skills, with only 10% disagreeing. However, opinions were more divided on whether the curriculum integrated cross-cutting issues, with 60% responding negatively and 40% positively. Additionally, 90% of students reported easy access to reading materials, and an equal percentage found the syllabus adequate. Remarkably, all respondents agreed that teachers used student-centric methods in delivering the curriculum. Furthermore, 80% confirmed that the curriculum was completed in the classroom, although 20% noted it was only partially completed. Suggestions for curriculum changes included improvements in technology usage and availability of lecture videos on WhatsApp.

In terms of support services and infrastructural facilities, the feedback was generally positive, with some areas identified for improvement. The classroom and teaching aids were rated 'Good' by 80% of respondents and 'Excellent' by 20%. Library facilities and computer & internet access received a mix of ratings, with the majority finding them 'Good' or 'Average'. Sports and cultural facilities were rated positively by 70%, while co-curricular and extracurricular activities were deemed 'Good' by 90% of respondents. Laboratories, student counselling, and career guidance services were mostly rated 'Good', though some suggested enhancements. Administrative support was found satisfactory by 70%, and campus safety and security were rated 'Good' by 80%. Suggestions included the need for improved health services, better information dissemination by office staff, and overall enhancement of facilities.
